“Our clients trust our strategic counsel as they realize that we aren’t trying to close transactions quickly, and always have their best interests in mind.”
Leo Backer started his commercial real estate career in 1986 at a full-service brokerage firm, but found an inherent conflict of interest representing both landlords and tenants. As a result, Leo founded Washington Partners’ Bellevue office with some of his colleagues in 2001. As a tenant advocate, Leo prides himself on his long term client base and appreciates the relationships he has cultivated as a result. With a client focused practice Leo’s business is based on trust and strategic counsel.
Leo was raised in Bellevue, graduated from the University of Washington and was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Leo serves on several non-profit boards including the recent board chair for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue. With three boys, Leo stays busy coaching his youngest son in football and basketball, and watching all of his boys on the lacrosse field. Leo lives in Bellevue and enjoys playing golf, traveling and working out.
